6 days to go! Eeek! The countdown has well and truly begun- I've bought all my clothes, had all my injections and I'm currently attempting a practice pack before doing the real thing. So far I've heard from 2 of my good friends who have recently arrived in different countries to do the same thing and it's making me really excited! The nerves that have been with me since training are slowly dissolving (slightly, not completely!) as the excitement builds and now I really can't wait to get going! This week has involved saying goodbye to various friends, which is always sad, and I'm having a leaving party on Saturday which will be even more sad I'm sure!
Tonight my dad taught me how to joint a chicken in preparation for a lack of nicely packaged drumsticks... Needless to say I made a complete hash of it but hey, there's a first time for everything and I'm sure I'll improve over the year! I've also been buying some bits and bobs which I hope might come in handy over there- stuff like beads, tennis balls and chalk and have just ordered 67 photos to be printed to put on my wall!
Anyway, must be off- I have a homemade chicken stew to try!
